Welcome to Traveling Expats!

We're Lee and Betty and we share our honest, experience-driven travel guides and insights on what it’s like to retire abroad and to explore Germany, Europe and the World.

If you love authentic travel content that skips the commercial tourist traps to find the real heart of a destination, you’re in the right place! We love sharing the history, local legends, and culinary experiences of the places we visit—which almost always includes our favorite tradition of Kaffee und Kuchen time. Your support here keeps us fueled up, on the road, and creating the high-quality guides you love.

What We Share on Our Channel:

Expert Travel Guides: In-depth, practical guides to regional destinations across Germany, Greece, France, and beyond to help you plan your own adventures.

Expat Life in Germany: Honest insights into the realities, joys, and daily life of living abroad in Europe.

Local Food & Culture: Finding the absolute best local culinary spots, hidden gems, and authentic cultural experiences.

Whether you're planning your next big trip or just want to travel vicariously through our latest videos, we are so incredibly grateful to have you along for the ride.

Thank you for your kindness and support—it keeps us motivated, inspired, and on the move!
