BetterTattooing aims to bring scientific inquiry to tattooing. It has been far too long that the industry lacks the information needed to define why they do what they do.

The tattoo industry is missing real explanations for why tattoo artists do what they do. Artists utilize empathy to feel their way through a tattoo without actually knowing why they do what they do. On the other side, clients blindly trust their tattoo artists. There is no way to know if someone is good at what they do. Clientele globally trusts undereducated artists with a level that is undeserved.

The problem with the whole system is - Only when an artist makes a mistake can both the client and artist learn what went wrong and how to improve. 

There is no training, no apprenticeship, and no real validation based on industry standards.
