People Who Say They're "So Busy"… But Seem to Enjoy It? 🤔

Jun 24, 2025

You know the type—always saying “I'm soooo busy!” but somehow… they seem to enjoy it? 😅
Do you have anyone like that in your life?

I do.
In fact, I know quite a few people who sound like they’re proud of how busy they are. Almost like a badge of honor. 😂

But me? I'm not like that at all.

When I Say “Busy,” It’s Usually a Complaint 🌀

When I say, “I’m busy,”
it usually means I’ve had zero time for myself—for my hobbies, my routines—and I’m feeling frustrated and drained.

In other words, it’s a cry for help. Or… let’s be honest, it’s a full-on rant. 😂

And right now?
Yep, I’m definitely in one of those moments.

Hospital Appointments = Emotional Exhaustion 🌵

Lately, my husband’s had back-to-back hospital appointments,
and my mental bandwidth is maxed out.

Why?
Because every appointment requires me to mentally reverse-engineer the schedule, organize everything, and leave no room for error.

My Personality? Meticulously Planned. Always. 🧠📋

I’ve always been the kind of person who sets a goal and builds a plan to get there.

Like…

  • What time I wake up

  • When I eat

  • Even when I brush my teeth 😅

If it’s just about me, it’s easy.
But now? I also have to prepare everything for my husband too.

He needs my assistance, so it’s not like I can just say,
“Well, I’m ready—let’s go!”

Hospital Appointments Can't Be Missed 🧮

And hospital appointments?
They can’t be canceled.

So to make sure my husband can attend smoothly,
I start prepping a day or two in advance.

Examples?

🍽 I plan meals that won’t upset his stomach.
💤 I adjust my own sleep schedule so I’m not driving while exhausted.
🧴 I double-check every item we need to bring.

…And my husband? He has no idea how much thought goes into all this 😇

My Work History + My Personality = Prep Overload 😤

I’ve always hated the phrase,
“We'll deal with it later.”

That’s just asking for trouble. So I always try to stay ahead of the game.

And to top it off, my past jobs?

  • ✈️ Travel industry

  • 🏥 Nursing

Both are roles where even small mistakes can cause major problems for clients or patients.
So I got used to preventing disasters before they happen.

…But When It Comes to Disasters? I'm Weirdly Chill 💥

Ironically, when it comes to things that aren’t right in front of me,
like natural disasters or emergencies...

I’m surprisingly laid-back 😅

My husband, on the other hand, is super prepared.
He’s got emergency kits, escape plans—you name it.

Me? I’m more like:
“Ehh… we’ll figure it out.” 😂

I keep only the bare minimum emergency supplies.
And that doesn’t really bother me.

So… Am I a Little Strange? 🤣

It’s kind of funny when I think about it.

I'm hyper-organized about daily tasks, but borderline careless about once-in-a-lifetime emergencies.

Maybe it’s just who I am.
Or maybe someone out there feels the same way?

If you do—please tell me I’m not alone! 🙃
