About Baran Kilic
The photograph was a permit that allowed me to go where I wanted and do what I wanted. The camera is a kind of passport that removes moral boundaries and destroys social barriers, freeing me from any responsibility I may have towards the people I photograph. The important thing about taking pictures of people is that I don't interfere in their lives in any way, I just visit them. Taking pictures of well-known people or even well-known subjects hardly interests me, what fascinates me is that I have hardly heard anything about them.
