We cashed in travel points for a simple overnight in Brooklyn near Red Hook—one quiet pause before the ocean crossing and the bigger Epic Winter Wander begins.

We’ve been hoarding travel points across continents and countries. I wanted them there to use when we need them instead of just because we can. Now, we decided, is the time to cash in a few. Overnight in New York as we begin an epic adventure wandering around January felt right. We wanted to be close to Red Hook (where the ship embarks) so we opted for Brooklyn instead of staying in the bright lights of this big city.
