a friend and i are starting this new project called, ‘taco cat,’ (read it in reverse — it’s a palindrome 🤯) where we’ll be sharing video essays, walkthroughs, and other interesting stuff at the intersections of art, design, film, tacos, cats, and everything in between!
we’re excited to share our first video coverage of sohrab hura’s show, ’ghosts in my sleep’. taking its title from his new body of work that comprises works on paper made with gouache, these small paintings are accompanied by the ongoing pastel drawings from ‘things felt but not quite expressed,’ the short film, ‘bittersweet’ (2019), as well as other image and sound notations. together, the elements underscore hura’s ongoing engagement with the ‘image’.
