Dear Readers,
When someone cries for help, the world doesn’t rush to save them. No, the world does what it does best it looks away, it watches in silence, or it sharpens its knives.
Most will pretend they didn’t hear. It’s easier that way. If they ignore the suffering, it’s not their problem. They walk past, convincing themselves someone else will step in. But no one ever does.
Some will watch, lingering just long enough to feel pity. “That’s sad,” they’ll think, before moving on with their lives. They’ll shake their heads, maybe whisper about it later, but they won’t lift a hand to help. Sympathy is easy; action takes effort.
And then, there are those who smile at your pain who pretend to care just long enough to collect your suffering as a weapon. They’ll listen, nod, make you believe they understand until the day they turn your own cries against you. They’ll remind you of your weakest moments, not to heal, but to humiliate.
This is the world we live in. A place where pain is entertainment, where cries go unanswered, where suffering is either ignored or exploited. But that doesn’t mean you should stay silent. Because one day, someone will hear and instead of walking away, they’ll stand beside you.
