📌 Wretched of the Earth
Memorial Study + Open Mic
12.6.2025
6:00 - 9:00 pm
Cincinnati, Ohio
Location: TBA
At age 36, 3 months before the end of the Algerian revolution, and with a “mind raging against the dying of the light,” Frantz Fanon transitioned December 6, 1961. 64 years later, we will gather for a memorial study of Wretched of the Earth - the last words of an ever-living man. We gather, then, remembering Fanon’s “profound talent for life” and with the determination to develop our own. The memorial study will include selected readings of Wretched by guests, open discussion, and an open mic.
This program is part of Dear.Fanon.100: an open invitation to one year of decentralized and spontaneous programming powered by solidarity and collaboration, dedicated to a living study of Frantz Fanon and his undying demand to change reality! The goal is to horizontally design and model a centennial ceremony that draws us into deep study and meaningful action.
Dear.Fanon.100 is organized By Felicia Denaud’s autonomous frame studio, a critical theory + creative workspace for experimental political education materials and programs.
