LiAura (pronounced lee-ora) is a cinematic music artist and songwriter based in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Her music is a fusion of epic orchestration, brooding vocals, and contemporary production techniques, with a Mediterranean or Middle Eastern flare that transports listeners to otherworldly realms.
Think Hans Zimmer, Tommee Profitt or soundtracks to The Mummy or Gladiator, with a hint of Fluerie.
LiAura has been singing and performing for over a decade, opening for Mos Def aka Yasiin Bey and touring across Canada. Her early success led to her winning the Director's Award for songwriting in Nashville and releasing an album titled "I Am" and a 4-song EP entitled "Stills of Me", which received local and international media attention. Her music video for "Precious Moments" was even featured on SHAW TV, and her song "Cleopatra" was used in an Egyptian luxury decor commercial.
But it wasn't until the stillness of 2020 that LiAura had a rebirth as an artist. She went from creating pop music to embracing her love of cinematic soundscapes, exploring classical orchestration and experimenting with ethnic sounds. The result is a mesmerizing and powerful musical experience that is nostalgic yet futuristic and that captivates audiences worldwide.
LiAura continues to work with award-winning engineers and producers such as Jamie Kuse (Riverdale) and Brian Steckler (Walking Dead, Hunted) to further refine her sound and bring her unique vision to life. With her passion for music and storytelling, LiAura is poised to make a lasting impact on the industry and inspire a new generation of cinematic music lovers.
