We are a youth-led urban collective experimenting with low-threshold, cooperative forms of self-sufficiency and material abundance. Since 2016, our group has been developing community-based projects that reappropriate urban excess: food rescue, composting, dumpster diving, street salvage, and solidarity-based sharing, and a small-scale “free market,” where fresh rescued vegetables are placed in boxes on the street for anyone to take, and whatever remains is cleared at the end of the day.
In 2025 we have been jointly maintaining a community space in Budapest’s Népszínház Street, where we host weekly open cooking sessions using rescued food, occasional canning and preservation workshops, as well as regular clothing swaps, reading circles, and documentary screenings. The space also serves as a hub for experimenting with solidarity-based, circular practices and for developing forms of sustainable urban living.
Through these activities, we aim to empower peers and local residents to engage directly in zero-waste practices, mutual aid, and everyday acts of community support.
