When I was a kid, I recall hearing older people say that they were so tired that they needed a nap to get to tired. Well, it looks like I am now the old people because I, too, need a nap to get to tired.
This past week was release week for OUR FAVORITE DAY OF THE WEEK, my most recent picture book with Rahele Jomepour Bell.
Being an author in this day and age requires a ridiculous amount of things that don’t involve writing. It’s something that I simply did not know or expect. I enjoy meeting and greeting little ones and their grown-ups. However, I do not like doing social media or marketing. Am I also currently getting a masters degree in marketing and social media? Yes, yes I am.
What made this particular round of social media and promotional obligations a bit more fun was that I did a few things with my mom this time. To be honest, the fact that no one asked me to do it is likely what made it more fun. The book was dedicated to her anyway, so it made sense to me.
Did we make a few Instagram reels? Yes. Did we know what we were doing? No. Did we laugh throughout the process? Absolutely!
Friends, my question for you is this: Who do you turn to when you need to get something done, and you know this person will bring the fun?
Make sure to let them know how much you appreciate them. And if that person has young kids in their life, please encourage them to buy my book.🥰
Life is short. Make more moments with the people who make those moments memorable.
Leave a comment here or on one of my social media channels: Facebook, Instagram, X, BlueSky, or LinkedIn. Also, there’s a picture of the rabbit in my gallery.
Let’s see where the conversation takes us. Until next Sunday…
