The Start of Something New

The Start of Something New

Oct 18, 2022

Just checkin in… I hope you're doing well and staying safe out here!

I'm just a SAHM (stay-at-home-mom) workin hard to help moms just like me; taking the things I've learned along the way and sharing them with y'all.

Sometimes it's hard to get my knowledge out to the ones that really need to hear it. So I'm diligently trying to build my email list that way when I share my findings, I can get it straight to you, easily!

How does that sound to you?

So, I hope you won't mind, but if you click below I'll be sending you a few emails over the next days just to allow you some time and space to get to know me and decide whether the content, products or services I have is of any interest to you…

As a mom, I am constantly looking into ways to save money without compromising the health & safety of my family.

Starting with pregnancy!!!

See I come from a family that was verrrrrry frugal. So frugal, I used to think that Lucky Charms was a luxury cereal because my mom wouldn't buy it; only my grandma who seemed to be wealthiest of people I knew personally, lol… When a new toy or game came out, my mom would look for a sales deal or coupon of some sort or just wait for it to get down to a discounted price.

It taught me 2 things…

  1. You don't NEED to keep up with the "Jones'"

  2. Sometimes, things are trumped up, JUST to get your money

Whoa, talk about freedom… those are some hard truths to face for some people, but once you realize that commercialism has kept you bound to the systems of the world, it is SO LIBERATING!!

This brings me to 2012… I'd just given birth to my 2nd child and my husband and I are enjoying dinner watching Netflix.

#NetflixAndChill

We come across this really cool documentary called The Business of Being Born.

But WAIT, Let's back-up a second! WHY did this catch my attention?? I mean, yeah I had just given birth, but how many women have recently given birth but their attention isn't grabbed when they come across information about birth; AFTER THE FACT?!?!

Well, see I'd just had a birthing experience that was quite the eye-opener and pretty upsetting, even though my baby was healthy and myself too. That experience taught me that my OB, no matter how great he was, he wasn't above making decisions about my care solely for the extra cash!!

For more about that story read here!

Once I watched The Business of Being Born, it confirmed SO MUCH about my experiences with the Maternity Healthcare Industry. I realized that there was so many more families going through what we'd just went through and I knew then that I wanted to DO SOMETHING ABOUT THAT!!
