Everyone needs a closure

Mar 19, 2024

I always envisioned myself in high heels, but I swore I'd never wear them again. So, I opted for comfort over style.

Still, I looked stunning. Remarkably so.

Everything fell into place for me; my team had faith in me, and I - in them. Together, we pulled out all the stops to organize this hackathon. We reached out to students and postgraduates, inviting them to participate, offering prizes and career opportunities, showcasing their talents, and potentially leaving Ukraine for new horizons.

That was my word,

My word was my bond; I extended the invitations, and you heeded them.

Your gaze was intense as if hoping it were all just a mirage, and I wasn't standing so close, yet so far away.

I wasn't the same princess you once knew. Not the one you couldn't quite understand, nor the one you once dreamed of living together with

But oh, the dreams I spun were enchanting. You longed to inhabit them, just as I did. It was our little escapade. Until you abruptly ended it.

Now, I stand here, weaving dreams for others. What are your thoughts on that?

You wanted to forget and didn't move anywhere. Thought it would be better without me and it got worse.

How did this illusion mistress manage to lead you, outsmart you, and show that her illusions are worth money and trust?

Thank you all for participating in the gathering, now go form teams and fill out applications. You can choose the topic you will work on at the hackathon. Rewards are attached to each topic if you win.

The best solutions are proposed not by those who know everything, but by those who want to solve a problem. Paradoxes work.

After bidding farewell to the faculty deans, I stepped outside. Just a few more universities to visit today.

“I need to bring someone along as an assistant, even if there isn’t something difficult in delivering speeches.”

You caught up to me and stood in front of me.

- You really are doing this, promote your veganism!

- Yes, indeed. Life doesn't end at 30, and there's no need to chase arbitrary milestones. I can live contentedly, pursuing my passions.

- I aimed for greatness, but…

- You wanted to be the best without me, I'm not interested in the rest of the story. I regret nothing.

- I don't regret anything either, because I couldn't give you what you wanted!

- I’ve got what I wanted anyway.

- Maybe we can start again?

- You don't go back to the past

- But this time I can give you more

- No, you won't be able to, you gave everything you had, everything that was in your resource. You had shared everything. Doubts, body, risks. I took everything from these relationships that was in them. I even robbed you, deleting all the photos from your access, I didn't leave our past for you. You had the right to it too, and I deprived you of it!

- You didn't want me and didn't want to have sex with me, and didn't want me to come and didn't want to buy me a ticket!

- Exactly. We're not compatible. It was Venus's whim to bring us together and apart.

- Again! You're building illusions for yourself!

- It was the only condition under which you could have me, so don't judge! If I were a realist, we wouldn't have met.

- I feel like you're kicking me out…

- You haven't learned to take responsibility for yourself, just loaded yourself with hard work and that's it.

Thank you for being a witness to my ending. If you want to read one more story about how I made my closure, read the Story about The Witch and The Elf.

And welcome to write your own ending with this 7 day questionary style guide.
