Über Arthur Keegan, Composer
Working on: children's songs | dance piece | Hardy opera
Hi, I’m Arthur, a Burnley-based, Coventry-born, composer.
On this page you can buy bars of music that I'm currently working on. This is invaluable help that allows me to get projects started and keep them going... in order develop projects toward getting performances/recordings etc. I have to write! Your support to allow this time is crucial.
Current works in progress include a dance piece that is a radical re-telling of the tale of Dorian Gray, children's songs for harp and soprano setting nonsense poetry and a Thomas Hardy opera. Read more at my list of works.
It's tricky to make money from classical music and every little helps. I write music for audiences to enjoy, if you enjoy it, help me make more with financial support.
I also make a podcast called Quartet for Two - check it out on Spotify or Apple Music.
My debut album 'The Past & I: 100 Years of Thomas Hardy' is available too, stream wherever your get your music or buy a CD. Find out more about that project here.
