THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS.
The power supply has been switching on and off on my new-ish MacBook for a few days now, nearly drove me insane. I have it plugged into a multi-port charger block and I'm guessing the correct wattage output can only be guaranteed if there's some clever internal switching involved. Tried a couple solutions before landing on yours and I cannot thank you enough. I know this will continue to benefit many wary MacBook owners. Cheers mate!
