Apologies for the radio silence, and the clickbait title.
I've been burnt out and I have had many obsticles recently both to my work and to getting a stable internet connection, which also greatly impacts my work.
I'm not much good at social media, or coming up with interesting posts... It's very stressful to an anti-social creature like me.
I'm going to try harder. But I'm looking at some new avenues.
I've been seriously concidering my options...
I want to polish up the stories that I have and get them published.
That is where I stand no matter the means or the required effort.
As such, I will be taking my chapters down from the Purg as of the new year...
I will be keeping the site running in a different capacity, as an author website. The transition will be slow as I figure out how best to present myself.
Unfortunately, as much as I'd love to continue to evolve my process through the medium of the website, but I've discovered that to do so I need more money to be pumpted into the site (which I don't have) or I need to expand my following through other means (which I am honestly struggling with).
I'm not giving up, but I will be stepping away for a time, while I organize myself as professional author.
I plan to publish under my own name, I. J. Hansen. So please, keep an eye out for my name in the future.
I won't be closing down this Buy Me a Coffee, only changing it so that there is only one minor tier.
These changes will also come with the new year, but I understand if this deters anyone from joining or continuing their support.
I don't expect to gain any kind of followers here, but if you'd like to continue your support then you are welcome to. Every little bit truly helps me to strive towards my dreams.
Thank you to those who've supported me up until this point. You have my most sincere gratitude.
After all this jounrey has helped me immensly. I now know what I can and can't easily manage, and I have so much more confidence. So much so that I can now call myself a writer, and soon hopefully an author, which I would never have done when I started.
Please, continue to follow me here and through the Purg itself, if you have an interest.
I will be setting up a mailing list in the new year, in which I will be sharing more about my future work, life, writing, fantasy and sci-fi, as well as some short stories and perhaps novellas...
I will post some of my emails on the Purg blog as well. But the emails will eventually represent the best way to keep in touch and watch my journey to becoming published.
If I do find a surge of support over here, then I will come back and post some extras here too. But right now there doesn't seem to be much point to that.
I think that covers just about everything...
