Off to take my original to the printers.
I put off making prints for a long time.
As much as I wanted to offer them, the thought of actually making them was intimidating.
Of course there was the question of how to sell-- the biggest can of worms-- but on top of that were the production questions. Did I want to be hands on? Take a photo of the painting, make sure it was crisp enough, check for marks, edit digitally, and learn how to do all that by myself?
Or would I pay the extra fee to get a professional to do it and take away that extra bit of work and stress?
I knew one thing: I wasn't going to do the printing myself. That meant finding a printer as well; yet another question to add to the list.
It's hard to believe that after all this time, I'm here now, all those questions finally answered and 5 beautiful gosling prints next to me, ready to order.

It's scary putting your art in someone else's hands.
It wasn't that I thought the printer wouldn't do a good job of it-- they have a great reputation-- but the fact is, I'm used to being in control of my art every step of the way. It feels foreign to hand a part of it over to someone else.
But it didn't make sense to keep that control anymore even if it was a little scary; not for this. There were just too many other things on my plate. I had commissions to paint, content to create, and my own art to do.
I have no regrets.
It's good to get a little help from people. It's something I need to let into my life a little more. Doing everything myself is exhausting and not at all necessary; I've done enough of it to know that by now.
