For the next 12 months, I’m using my experience in sculpture and neon glass to create a new public display every month on Holmfirth’s main drag.
Having worked with public installation for several years, I wanted to take this practice out of cities and into a more rural context- bringing light, colour and sculptural storytelling into everyday places.
Each monthly display will combine previously developed works with newly made pieces inspired by Holmfirth and the surrounding Pennine landscape. The project is entirely self-funded and is driven by a desire to make contemporary art accessible, visible, and part of daily life.
If you’re a local resident, passer-by, or someone who’s enjoyed the displays so far and would like to help keep the project going, any donation is hugely appreciated and goes directly towards materials, fabrication, and future installations.
