Last week, I made a reel speaking out against violence against women and children in Ireland and called out the silence around it by so many, something I’ve always cared about and the post ended up being picked up and reframed to a much bigger audience, and I became the target of a far right online lynch mob.

It got really frightening really fast. I was getting rape threats, death threats, and hundreds and hundreds of abusive messages. My account was mass-reported and restricted in error, so I suddenly couldn’t work, couldn’t post, and lost brand jobs I was relying on for next few months. I went to the Gardaí over threats and have everything recorded for my own safety.

Trying to deal with all of this properly and safely has already cost me €2.5k in legal bills, which is a lot for anyone, but especially for me as a new, self-funded performing artist with no sponsorship or backing. It’s been a really heavy blow at the exact time my income has been disrupted.

I’m trying to rebuild and get grounded again. If you’d like to support in my fight against the far right and while I get back on my feet, it honestly means more than I can say.

After legal costs are covered, I will donate any extra to Women's Aid Ireland and will be running a charity event for them coming up soon
