To let your mind wander when reading to understand what's being said is to defeat yourself.
Paul told Timothy, "Don't oppose your own self."
People who oppose themselves start to read God's word and they let their mind wander off over here and over there. They start to pray and the mind starts to wander. They hear a bad report and their mind starts to go down the path of what the results are going to be of that report that they've gotten.
Don't let your mind wander. Love God with your mind. Let is be a vessel of honor fit for the Master's companionship.
