Winter's Appearance

Temperatures are falling

as the leaves from the trees

let loose and swim the sunbeams,

to land in loose litigation.

The dew gathers on pumpkin

and squash, creating crystalized

coverings like fur on ferrets.,

The air becomes brisk; the wind

picks up to run amok amongst

foliage, moving down dust clouds

while emptying moisture from the air.

Winter is upon us. The first grasp of

cold, snatches us into the first

breathless bale of a new season. The balance

of season tipped and poured out.
