I’m Andy The Maker — a streamer, video creator, software engineer, Minecraft fanatic, lore writer, and Bedrock add-on creator.
Most of what I build starts with one question: “What would make Minecraft more interesting without making it feel less like Minecraft?”
That idea drives my add-ons, worlds, livestreams, and the larger universe I’m building around Andy The Maker.
I primarily create Minecraft Bedrock add-ons focused on expanding exploration, utility, worldbuilding, archaeology, progression, and immersion while staying as close as possible to Minecraft’s existing design language and gameplay philosophy. Some projects are simple quality-of-life tools, while others grow into larger systems involving custom blocks, items, structures, mechanics, factions, artifacts, and interconnected lore.
A major part of my work also revolves around The Forgelands, my long-term Bedrock survival world, and the stories that have developed around it. That includes ancient civilizations, lost technologies, mysterious factions, forgotten ruins, expedition organizations, and discoveries that often become the foundation for future add-ons.
When I’m not writing code or designing new systems, I’m usually streaming Minecraft, building overly ambitious survival projects, experimenting with Bedrock mechanics, exploring add-on ideas, or producing videos covering the things I’m working on.
My background in software development and technical content creation heavily influences how I approach Minecraft projects. I enjoy figuring out how systems work, pushing Bedrock’s capabilities, documenting what I learn, and turning those experiments into something other players can actually use.
