Choose What You Keep On Death with Andy’s Soulbound Inventory

Minecraft Bedrock’s normal Keep Inventory setting has always been all or nothing. Andy’s Soulbound Inventory gives players and world owners much more control over exactly what happens to their gear when they die.

The add-on provides four inventory modes: Vanilla, Keep Equipment, Keep Gear + Hotbar, and Keep Everything. XP can be controlled separately from inventory retention, allowing players to protect important equipment while still keeping some of the consequences of dying. Each player can have their own persistent settings, making the system especially useful for multiplayer worlds, Realms, and servers where different players want different levels of protection.

World owners and operators can control which modes are available, set world defaults, allow or restrict player selection, manage XP retention, and assign or lock settings for individual players. The add-on keeps the system close to vanilla Minecraft and works without Beta APIs, experiments, or cheats.

The goal is simple: give Minecraft Bedrock players something between losing everything on death and enabling full Keep Inventory for everyone.
