We are extremely pleased to announce the commitment of a significant grant from the Cultuurfonds Caribisch Gebied (CCG). This financial support is a crucial step in the production of our documentary series, The State of the SDGs: Navigating Sustainability on Curaçao, and confirms the importance of highlighting sustainability on our island.
Focus on Life on Land and Below Water
This grant is specifically earmarked for the production of four core episodes that focus on the most critical environment-related Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for Curaçao:
SDG 11 Sustainable Cities and Communities: Waste and the Circular Economy - Highlighting Curaçao's waste problem and the pioneers working to close the loop.
SDG 13 Climate Action: Climate Adaptation and Protection. The impact of climate change on the island and how the community is preparing for it.
SDG 14 Life Below Water: Protection of our Sea and Coral Reefs. The necessity of preserving our marine ecosystems, the source of our cultural and economic well-being.
SDG 15 Life on Land: Preservation of Biodiversity and Inland Nature. The value and protection of Curaçao's unique flora and fauna, including our mangroves and forests.

Why This Matters
The documentary series was created to bridge the gap between general SDG knowledge and the concrete, visible projects happening in Curaçao. The goals are to:
Provide Information: Make local sustainability efforts visible and recognizable.
Stimulate Engagement: Encourage citizens, government, and the business community to work together.
Create a Positive Impetus: Emphasize the cultural and social value of sustainability on dushi Kòrsou.
