The purpose of Wired for Urgency isn't to grow a paid subscriber base or build a brand or make a little money on the side. The purpose of Wired for Urgency is to share my creative voice of dissatisfaction in ways that offer hope to those connected to the church in ANY way and cultivate community through content-based conversations. This is might seem like a tall order, but that's what I'm attempting to curate through my Substack. Please understand: I am not a guru or an expert sitting in a sterile office somewhere. I am a neighborhood pastor being formed by God right alongside you and right next to the people in my congregation and those in my neighborhood. In addition, I continue to ask myself, "What do my neighbors need from a neighborhood pastor?" If I sense the Spirit's raw and unfiltered ways and am amazed at the way in which the Spirit is actively disrupting things in my life and in my location of mission, how must I faithfully respond? This is a leading question behind Wired for Urgency. The Substack is space for me to describe what I see the Spirit doing, cultivate praxis that align with the ongoing work of the Spirit and continue to seek discernment in community.
