Well we finally did it..I reached the MIR (Minimum income requirement) for a U.K. spouse visa. It’s only taken two years but we finally got there. We can finally apply for the visa. This last two years have been the most difficult, My work is labour intensive, my body is broken, new knees and hips needed!
The government think the new high MIR is a brilliant idea! As a British citizen having to reach this goal, I know it’s not.
How much will I cost the National Health Service in order to tick this box for the spouse visa.
It’s still not over..
Because Anna is living in a third country in order to maintain our relationship, we have to pay rent on an apartment we shouldn’t actually need. I have a perfectly good house in the U.K. but rules are rules.
All this hard work and no money in the bank, no savings, this all went on rent in Turkey ect (rent which doubled last year).
So today we are finally applying for a U.K. spouse (family) visa
A visa that requires us to pay over £5000
The rules are harsh, the rules are cruel.
When all is said and done we made it to this point, oh yes there has been arguments, depression, anxiety and lots of tears but we are determined they will not break us completely.
The next hurdle is to get the animals sorted. At least they don’t need a visa but they do need passports and lots of jabs. We have limited time. Please support us by donating or by sharing our story.
