Hi—this message has been about a year in the making—but as you might've gathered, I had to stop producing my radio show, The Parish News.
It had become unsustainable. I was spending days each week trying to get it just right, and in the end, it started to spoil my love of music.
So, I knocked it on the head. Fast forward just over a year, and now you have Orbiting a Different Star.
Orbiting a Different Star is very much in the same vein as TPN but far more manageable, which means radio-making has become fun again. You can give it a listen at https://backhouse.wtf/oads.
The show airs at 11pm UK-time, every Wednesday evening, and repeats throughout the week on Harrogate Community Radio. It goes straight up on to Mixcloud, and my website, around the same time. The radio show is also syndicated with Soundart Radio down in South Devon. I'm really happy with it. Importantly, it's posted show-by-show on my website, www.backhouse.wtf with a full playlist for each episode, so you can easily find and buy the artists' music.
I'm already up to Episode #063—so tuck in!
