Liebesträume no. 3 - Franz Liszt

Dedicated to the love of my life. I'm stunned by how amazing you are every day. Thank you for being who you are. This piece is one of the more lyrical pieces by Liszt. It is the last of 3 nocturnes, and are all based on poems about love. This piece in particular is based on a poem called "O lieb, so lang du lieben kannst (Oh love, as long as you can love)", by the German poet Ferdinand Freiligrath. Liszt set music to the poem in 1847 - and later as a solo piano work in 1850, which became one of the most famous piano pieces.
