LET MUSES WHISPER'
"Ars Poetica" Project Launched
ANDRY JAKUŠ
and
IAN McCANN
"ARS POETICA" PROJECT is inspired by different motives and directed to different ends, but nonetheless, the ones that are crucial are to present dominant topics of universal mind and meditation, a new attitude towards the materials of poetry, and diverse stimuli' to provoke a train of thought.
Alongside our appreciation of earlier poetry, we will try to "fashion", reinterpret and revalue poetry by presenting the most remarkable literary curiosities and the firmest poetical "convictions".
There will be valuable and unexpected hints to readers; yet both of us, Ian and me, are not primarily interested in teaching our readers anything.
We do strongly believe that every reader should be perpetually engaged in solving an insoluble puzzle - the puzzle of how poetry gets written, read, and interpreted, and how the material that he reads eventually becomes his own "poetry."
We will try to raise questions and sentiments that do not belong only to a present self-conscious period but to give that kind of delight enjoyed only in the language of poetry.
Our poets are cool "scientists", algebraists, in the service of a subtle dreamer. Everything they have imagined, felt, dreamed, and planned will be passed through a sieve, weighed, filtered, subjected to form, and condensed as much as possible so as to gain the power of association and reflection.
IAN McCaNN's highly expressive and suggestive audio presentations can make us feel that an experience of the poem and that of the poet have a significant correspondence with our own; like an "embryological" pattern implemented in every line, in order to give us a flavor of perennial fascination.
Now, let me introduce you to
my "partner in crime",
Mr. IAN McCANN
[BIOS]
Communication and creativity have always been my passions.
Working in TV and video production for many years I have written countless scripts, produced hundreds of films, and worked in about 20 countries.
For quite some time, numerous colleagues and contacts, several in North America, others around the world, and of course here in the U.K., have enthusiastically encouraged me to do voice work.
I am very grateful to all of them as I find voice work is such a rewarding channel for my creative communication skills and passion.
I can work with directors and I can self-direct.
I also direct other voice professionals.
I am happy to work in my studio or to travel worldwide.
With my extensive broadcast technical experience and top-quality recording equipment, I can record my voice to the highest professional standard for clients to have mixed and mastered by their own audio post-production people.
