Seamless Looping Wiggle Expression in After Effects

Oct 15, 2025

Ever wanted a wiggle that actually loops?

Here’s how to stop After Effects from doing its usual “never-ending chaos” thing and make a wiggle that loops perfectly.

Drop this on rotation, position, or any property that needs a bit of life:

freq = 1;
amp = 110;
loopTime = 3;
t = time % loopTime;
wiggle1 = wiggle(freq, amp, 1, 0.5, t);
wiggle2 = wiggle(freq, amp, 1, 0.5, t - loopTime);
linear(t, 0, loopTime, wiggle1, wiggle2)

Quick breakdown:

  • freq = how many wiggles per second

  • amp = how strong the wiggle is

  • loopTime = how long you want the loop (try 10 for a 10-second loop)

That’s it. Clean, seamless, perfect.

If this saves you a headache or a few keyframes, you can support me here. It helps me keep making tools, tricks, and other small things that make creative work a bit less painful.
