Valencia is home to countless stray cats, many abandoned and left to fend for themselves. They seek shelter in empty lots, quiet corners and parks. In Park Viveros alone, there are more than 200 stray cats. I help care for one of its colonies - around 30 cats - alongside a small group of volunteers who dedicate their time and resources to feeding and protecting them.
This colony receives no support from the city council. Every meal, every vet visit, and every bit of care comes from the volunteers. And the hardest part is protecting them. These cats face daily hardships -hunger, disease, attacks from dogs, the constant threat of accidents, and even deliberate cruelty. Abandonment is a massive issue, and without intervention, their suffering only worsens.
The truth is, we would help many more cats if we had the means, which is why we’re reaching out. These cats didn’t choose this life, but they rely on us now. Your support, no matter how small, means the world to them (and to us!). Thank you so much! ❤️

Valencia es hogar de innumerables gatos callejeros, muchos de ellos abandonados y obligados a sobrevivir por su cuenta. Buscan refugio en solares vacíos, rincones tranquilos y parques. Solo en el Parque Viveros hay más de 200 gatos callejeros. Yo ayudo a cuidar una de sus colonias - unos 30 gatos - junto a un pequeño grupo de voluntarios que dedican su tiempo y recursos a alimentarlos y protegerlos.
Esta colonia no recibe ningún apoyo del ayuntamiento. Cada comida, cada visita al veterinario y cada cuidado provienen de los voluntarios. Y lo más difícil es protegerlos. Estos gatos enfrentan dificultades diarias: hambre, enfermedades, ataques de perros, el riesgo constante de accidentes e incluso actos de crueldad deliberada. El abandono es un problema enorme, y sin intervención, su sufrimiento solo empeora.
La verdad es que podríamos ayudar a muchos más gatos si tuviéramos los medios, y por eso pedimos tu apoyo. Estos gatos no eligieron esta vida, pero ahora dependen de nosotros. Tu ayuda, por pequeña que sea, significa el mundo para ellos (¡y para nosotros también!). ¡Muchísimas gracias! ❤️
