The Middlemen

The Middlemen

Oct 18, 2025

They rent offices with glass walls and quiet air. The walls hold posters about ambition and freedom. Inside, they trade in other people’s dreams.

A young designer walks in with sketches. They call him “partner,” ask him to leave samples. He leaves smiling, thinking it’s the start. They sell his work by noon and send him a form for “future collaboration.”

A woman builds a small idea into a plan. They call her “visionary,” say they’ll “help it scale.” She signs, thinking help means growth. It means ownership transferred and silence later.

Their business model is clean on paper. They buy cheap belief and sell it dressed in polish. They keep the language soft: incubator, accelerator, marketplace. They don’t steal; they “facilitate.” They don’t lie; they “restructure.”

Every generation meets them under a new logo. They speak fluently about hope. They always sound reasonable.
