A question always arises in everyone's mind: "I don't know why this happens," or "I don't know why this doesn't happen!" If we talk about any subject or issue, the question will definitely arise of why I don't know. There was a time when teachers in schools used to pull the ears of even innocent children, slap them on the cheeks, and beat them with a wooden board on their soft palms, but no child thought about suicide or committed suicide due to depression in school. What could be the reason for this? In everyone's childhood, they used to insist on new and expensive toys every day, get happy by playing with them when they got them, but get bored after playing with them once or twice. I don't know why this happened. Most of the houses were kutcha; there were fewer rooms, but no one's elderly parents ever went to the old age home. I don't know why. Families were very big; even the neighbors' children used to play on the roof and courtyard of the neighborhood all day, and big functions like weddings used to happen in the houses themselves. I don't know why.

In the morning and evening, the brazier was lit with coal or cow dung cakes outside every house in the street and neighborhood; the smoke would enter the streets and houses, no one would make a fuss, and there was no complaint of pollution. Don't know why? Despite the tradition of baking and rolling out rotis for the cow to eat every day in every family, the household budget did not waver and generally remained balanced. Whereas today the family's own food budget has started weighing heavy. Don't know why? There was simple dal-roti to eat; despite this, no one had anemia. Diseases were also fewer. Don't know why?

Unlike men, there were no gyms for women then. They generally remained healthy despite cooking and cooking all day. Don't know why? Real brothers and sisters used to fight a lot over small things. It would even come to blows and beatings, but after some time they would get along again. The differences never lasted long. Don't know why? Parents would also sometimes slap their children over trivial matters, but their respect never diminished. Don't know why? Today it has become difficult to understand that people put precious relationships at stake but remain adamant in their meaningless stubbornness. Many people seem good in the beginning, but with time they start showing their attitude. Don't know why?

There is a huge difference in the understanding of the three generations of yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Thinker Jonathan Martson believes that emotions and thoughts are like waves. You cannot stop them from coming, but you can choose which waves to ride.

Today, thinking is changing. Like the new model of every mobile or device is better than the old one. The thinking of the new young generation is different from the old and middle generations. Some time ago, the drain in someone's house got blocked. Dirty sewer water started flowing out in the kitchen, bathroom, etc. All the work stopped due to dirty water entering the house. The housewife called the plumber. By chance, he was free. He came riding his bicycle in a while. He opened the drain in a short time. When he asked for five hundred rupees as wages, the lady of the house was stunned. She said, 'I am a teacher in a government school. I don't even get five hundred rupees for teaching children for an hour. You take two hundred rupees.... This is fair.' The plumber did not agree. He stuck to his point. Hearing the argument, the elderly woman of the house came out from inside. After listening to the whole thing, she said to the daughter-in-law, 'You have quoted two hundred rupees more. The work is barely worth twenty rupees. Pay him fifty rupees and settle the accounts.' But the plumber was not agreeing. Meanwhile, the young son of the house owner came home from outside. He took his mother inside, holding her hand. He started explaining, 'Mother, he came running in ten minutes and quickly opened the drain in minutes. He has reduced your trouble so much. He has relieved you of your tension. If he had not come, your work would not have been completed the whole day. Give him five hundred rupees, and on top of that give him a reward of fifty rupees!' Mother and Grandmother, after listening to the young man's understanding, we were surprised. Perhaps this is what is called the generation gap. There is a huge difference in the understanding of the three generations of yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

Thinker Jonathan Martson believes that emotions and thoughts are like waves. You cannot stop them from coming, but you can choose which waves to ride. Obviously, there is one 'tomorrow' that has gone, and the other is the 'tomorrow' that has come. That is, nothing is stable. Everything is changeable. Along with the happiness of getting or meeting everything, there is also the sorrow of separation or not getting something. An American novelist named Jack has written that life is not about always getting good cards in hand... life is about playing well with bad cards. The difference between the two is that yesterday is a time that has passed, over which we have no control, while tomorrow is an opportunity, over which we can have control and make it better through our actions. Therefore, the process of learning and improving is an important link between yesterday and tomorrow.

Hi. I’m a writer. Not a marketer, not a self-help guru. Just a writer.

I was wondering if you could offer specific help to writers wanting to increase our readership here. How can we adapt what you teach to what we publish?
