Even Miracles Fail on Fools

Even Miracles Fail on Fools

imageOnce, Hazrat Isa ran towards the mountain as if a lion had attacked him. A man saw him and asked, 'Hazrat, are you alright? There is no one behind you, so why are you flying like a bird?' Jesus was in such a hurry that he did not answer. The man also ran behind him for some distance and shouted, 'For God's sake, stop for a moment. Why are you running so fast? There is neither a lion behind you nor any enemy'!

Hazrat Isa said, 'What you are saying is true. I am running away from a fool'. That man ran after him and asked, 'Are you not that Messiah, by whose miracles the blind start seeing and the deaf start hearing?' Jesus said, 'Yes.' Then he asked, 'Are you not that king who has such power that if he blows on a dead person, he will stand up?' Jesus replied, 'Yes, I am that one.' The man asked another question, 'Are you not the same person who, if he makes a bird out of clay and recites a mantra, comes to life and starts flying in the air immediately?' Jesus replied, 'Of course, I am that one.'

Then that man said, 'O Holy Spirit! You can do whatever you want, then whom do you fear?' Hazrat Isa said, 'I swear by God, whose great power is insignificant before the sky, when I recited his holy name on the deaf and the blind, they started hearing and seeing; when I recited it on dead bodies, they became alive; but when I recited the same holy name with great devotion on a fool, rather, I recited it lakhs of times, and there was no benefit!

The man was surprised and asked, 'Sir, what is this that God's name is beneficial there and has no effect here? Although this is also a disease, so is that. Then what is the reason that the holy name of the creator of the world does not have an equal effect on both?' Hazrat Isa said, 'The disease of stupidity is a punishment given to man by God. The disease of blindness is not a punishment but a test. Therefore, have mercy on the blind person.

The disease of stupidity is a punishment given by God. The disease of blindness is not a punishment but a test. That is why we feel pity for a blind person, but stupidity is a disease that creates anger in our hearts. It comes, but foolishness is a disease that gives birth to anger in the heart.

Anger is destructive. If anger grows and grows, all parties are ultimately harmed. Like Hazrat Isa, one should always run away from fools. Their company has given rise to big quarrels. Just like the wind slowly dries up the water, foolish people also exert their influence slowly, and you do not even realize it.
