Shueisha Games and Hakababunko shared the release date for Urban Myth Dissolution Center back in October of this past year. The game is slated for February 13, 2025 on Switch and Ps5. Urban Myth Dissolution Center was previously announced November of 2023. Originally planned for 2024, it was then pushed to early 2025.
A prologue video was released as well, with the slated drop for the game, the video provides a deeper look into the world of the Dissolution Center as you witness Azami Fukurai’s first haunting experience. Setting up for her journey as a rookie investigator, uncovering the unsettling truths hidden behind the paranormal cases she'll face.
"The game is an episodical digital mystery adventure themed on multiple urban myths that roam the internet and presented in stunning psychedelic pixel art. You play as Anami, collecting circumstantial evidence and social network posts to unravel the truth behind each urban myth, the hidden pasts of each client, and why they came to encounter each oddity. Dis(solve) each myth and case to discover each episode's resolution and unexpected consequences."
Pre-orders are open for both Nintendo Switch and Ps5 for their physical versions. The game itself will also support multiple languages, so no matter where you live, you'll have the opportunity to try it out. The physical versions are also compatible with all Nintendo Switch models and Ps5 models regardless of region.
So far there are a few versions you can pre-order depending on what you're wanting to play on. Nintendo Switch has a regular physical edition along with a Limited Edition, Ps5 will also have the same options. The Standard Physical Edition for both include the base game, but if you're looking for more than that, the Limited Edition comes with some awesome stuff.
The Limited Edition includes the same boxed items for both the Nintendo Switch and Ps5. You'll receive the base game, a special Tabletop game called "Otherwordly Abduction", and original soundtrack CD, a "Disassembly New Book" Booklet, and a Custom outer box.
The official release date for pre-orders is only a little over a month away, on February 13th, 2025. Just in time for you to spend Valentine's Day detecting paranormal, and hauntingly fun pixelated, monsters and ghosts.
