The follow-up to Evercade's initial home computer collection from 2022 is called THEC64 Collection 2. Using the Evercade Handheld and the recently launched Evercade EXP, one of Evercade's most widely used cartridges, it was the first time that these games could be played on portable devices legally.
California Games, World Games, Uridium, Pitstop II, and more well-remembered titles are included in this second collection, which continues the library. There are a total of 14 games included, all of which have been chosen or adapted to work well and conveniently on an Evercade device while minimizing the usage of a virtual keyboard. Each control method is described in the collection's full-color manual, which is included with the actual cartridge.
Seven additional classic arcade games are included in Toaplan Arcade 2 by the renowned arcade developer. Along with their well-known shooter games, Toaplan also produced racing games and games in other genres. Here, the old video games Hellfire, Fire Shark, and Twin Hawk are included with Rally Bike, a bike racing game, and Wardner, a Toaplan platformer from the early days. Additionally, the collection contains supplementary interviews with Toaplan employees in the manual, and each game with vertical scrolling may be played utilizing the TATE mode capability of Evercade EXP.
Prior to their official release on April 28th, 2023, both collections will be available for pre-order starting on February 17th, 2023. If you are interested in the pre-order you can visit evercade.co.uk, and yes.. you will have to order theses babies from the UK.
On Evercade devices, including the Evercade VS and recently introduced Evercade EXP, all collections can be played on these. Additionally, there is supplementary content included within the Evercade EXP. Without the need for installation, coupon redemption, or cartridges, 18 Capcom games are included. You can now take 14 vintage arcade games and 4 home console favorites with you everywhere you go. The Capcom sets also come with a handbook in full color.
