Following the announcement of Diablo 4 at The Game Awards 2022, fans have eagerly anticipating Blizzard Entertainment's newest game. We initially learned about Diablo 4 during Blizzcon 2019; but, we didn't receive any concrete information on release dates, betas, or pre-orders until December 2022.
The Games Awards announced the release date for Diablo 4 as June 6, 2023. This announcement also included information about the game's beta tests and early access. Now that an open beta is coming, when will it be available? Sadly, there is no confirmed date for the upcoming Diablo 4 beta. According to what we know, it will undoubtedly arrive before the original release sometime in early 2023. A more detailed update, however, has not been made.
According the the official Diablo 4 page on Blizzard’s website, players who pre order the game will receive Early Access to the Open Beta and Light Bearer Mount in Diablo IV. It doesn’t matter which edition you pre order, all will be equipped with Early Access to the Open Beta.
Players can pre-order the game in one of three versions; The Standard Edition that’s available physically or digitally, Digital Deluxe Edition that includes unique in-game items, and the Ultimate Edition with even more bonus content.
The $70 Diablo 4 Standard Edition has a few features but is significantly less content than the other, more expensive editions of the game. The Standard Edition includes Diablo Immortal Cosmetic Set: Umber Winged Darkness, Amalgam of Rage (a World of Warcraft mount), as well as the Diablo 3 Inarius Wings & Inarius Murloc Pet.
The Digital Deluxe Edition of Diablo 4 costs $90 and offers a few more features that players might want to acquire. Additionally to receiving the Standard Edition extras, preordering also entitles you to "up to four days" of early access to the game. The Digital Deluxe includes everything within the Standard plus a Temptation a Mount, Hellborn Carapace Mount Armor, and the Diablo 4 Season Battle Pass.
The truly ravenous players can opt for the $100 Ultimate Edition if the Digital Deluxe Edition simply isn't sufficient. You will receive the same advantages as the Digital Deluxe Edition, from the goodies to the early access, while purchasing this edition of the game will give players a significant head start on the battle pass and an exclusive emote. Plus you'll receive the Wings of the Creator Emote.
For those of you that are die hard fans, and you need more, there is also a Limited Collector's Box. The limited Collector's Box does not include the game, but has some absolutely amazing collector's items. This Collector's Edition box is $96.66, and is available exclusively through the Blizzard Gear Store. It includes a Candle of Creation, Cloth Map of Sanctuary, Diablo 4 Collector’s Edition Art Book, Occult Mousepad, Pin of the Horadrim, and Two Matted Fine Art Prints Sized 18.54” x 10.79”.
Diablo 4 is currently open to pre-order from multiple different outlets, when the Open Beta begins, we'll let you guys know!
