I was approached by Tao Mexico - a developer in Cabo, Playa del Carmen and Puerto Vallarta about a sponsorship. I did my background research and thought they seemed legit (in a "they won't steal my password" type of way, but more importantly, in a "they won't cheat my viewers" type of way.)
I was planning a trip to Cabo to make a video anyway, and Tao introduced me to Will - someone from their development team who lived and worked in Cabo. I started with an online interview with him and found that he was a really interesting character who had found a stable career with Tao in Mexico. So I focused my interview around his "almost retired" lifestyle.
And then on interview day, Will revealed that he just took a new job with a marketing consultant (who happened to be Tao's marketing consultant.) So my story needed to flex. Lemme know if you think I did a good job with this one.
