My research focuses on the Mediterranean oak borer (Xyleborus monographus), a tiny invader with big impacts on Oregon’s oak woodlands. I study how these beetles spread, their interactions with fungi, and what that means for forest health — all while working closely with local communities, parks, and land managers.
