I want to send a huge "thank you!" to everyone who has supported All Around Guitar this year. To students taking in-person lessons, Buy Me a Coffee patrons, and YouTube subscribers. Your contributions and feedback have been very encouraging. My plan is to give back much more in 2026.
The online offerings have been a bit slim compared to past years. As many of you know, I have been finishing my degree through the Berklee College of Music. I am happy to announce, it is finished! Their guitar program curriculum is one of the most comprehensive in the world, and I am eager to share what I have learned with all of you. 😀
What's Next?
While working through Berklee's online teaching modules, I was delighted to discover a service that synchronizes music notation (and TAB) with audio and video. The user can toggle between close-up camera angles and notation playback that can be slowed down and looped for focused practice.
This service is called Soundslice, and it will be a great resource to organize and share my lessons with everyone. My instinct is to start with chords, scales, and arpeggios - the proverbial meat, potatoes, and vegetables of music. I'd also like to hear what you'd like to see offered. There has been interest in more niche areas like fingerpicking and play-along videos. Please send me what you are interested in learning.
