Apoya a Ali Cankal

Hey there! 👋 I’m building practical, real-world software and tools that solve everyday problems.

From real-time spatial navigation and smart safety tools to AI search indexers and automated business workflows, my focus is simple: creating clean, accessible technology that makes life easier and businesses more efficient.

Alongside open-source development, I run Cankal Software & IT Consultancy, where we help small- to medium-sized businesses cut through tech jargon, deploy secure AI automations, and build high-performance infrastructure. I am also deeply passionate about mentoring the next generation of software engineers, apprentices, and career switchers as they navigate AI, ML, and modern software lifecycles.

Why Support?

Building, hosting, and maintaining open-source tools require dedicated compute resources, API costs, testing hardware, and countless late-night hours. Your support helps:

🚀 Keep public utility tools open-source, ad-free, and community-driven.

🛠️ Accelerate the release of practical micro-apps (smart search utilities, spatial navigation, automated triage).

🎓 Fund free educational guides, code templates, and mentoring resources for aspiring developers.

☕ What a Coffee Unlocks:

☕ 1 Coffee (£5) — Fuel the Code: A simple thank you that fuels late-night debugging and keeps server/API bills paid for open-source tools.

☕☕☕ 3–5 Coffees (£15–£25) — 1:1 Tech & Career Guidance: Got questions about breaking into software engineering, navigating your tech career, or mastering Python, AI/ML, and the SDLC? Buy a few coffees and leave a note—let’s jump on a 30-minute virtual chat to review your portfolio, roadmap, or code.

☕ Commercial / Project Tier (£75+) — Business Architecture & AI Triage: Need professional advice on deploying AI into your business process, reviewing your web infrastructure, or planning a custom software tool? This unlocks a prioritised 45-minute discovery consultation through Cankal Software.
