While I cannot offer this plugin as a public download right now, I wanted to share this development update with my supporters to show how GIS tools are being adapted for critical defense needs.
A few years ago I developed a specialized QGIS plugin that natively supports NATO APP-6D and DOD MIL-STD-2525D military symbology standards. The plugin expands QGIS capabilities by introducing:
custom feature renderer that draws standardized military symbols based on a feature's SIDC attribute.
SIDC editor widget that provides a user-friendly interface with real-time symbol previews and component selectors, making SIDC creation accurate and efficient.
Recently I have updated the plugin to make it fully compatible with Qt 6 builds of QGIS.
