[ Finished listening to "The Millionaire Next Door" audiobook ]

During my bus rides yesterday, finally finished listening to the audiobook of "The Millionaire Next Door: The Surprising Secrets of America's Wealthy"[1]. Learned a lot. Even though the audiobook is a bit dated (or I got on old version), one can still learn most of the observations and research done by the authors of the affluent.

There's a difference in earning, saving (accumulating), and spending money indeed. Even though you have very high earnings, accumulation of the money are totally different. High consumers doesn't mean their wealthy.

Most of the affluent are frugal, frugal, frugal. They also don't boast that they are affluent.

Most of the PAWs (Prodigious Accumulator of Wealth) are self employed and love their job and source of living.

The Swedish Investor made a much better bite sized video[2] on the key takeaways if you don't or can't listen to the audiobook or read the book.

I'll try to make time to read the updated 2018(?) version, since the audiobook I listened to was set in the 90s. So I might have an older version of the audiobook.

Next up, start and finish reading the supplementary ebook of "The Total Money Makeover: A Proven Plan for Financial Peace" so I can listen to the audiobook.

PS: Still on the fence to really get an e-ink device for reading stuff like this haha
