Velvet wing stretch out and glide
peeping a mighty battle cry
tiny claws and needle teeth
this nocturnal fiend hunts meat
the dustiest of all winged things:
Juicy moths snatched on the wing
Oh you know this great comrade
our humble friend, the little bat.
