Help Me Escape to Safety and Live Freely as a Gay Man
Hello, my name is Ahmed. I’m a gay man living in Iraq—a place where being LGBTQ+ can mean living in constant fear, hiding who you are, and facing daily threats to your safety. I’m reaching out with a heavy heart and a hopeful spirit, asking for your help to raise $20,000 so I can escape to a safer country and begin a life where I can simply exist freely and without fear.
In Iraq, coming out is not an option. Being openly gay can lead to harassment, violence, or worse. Like so many others, I’ve spent years hiding my identity, denying myself the right to love and live authentically.
Your support will help me cover the costs of:
- Securing a safe visa or asylum route
- Travel expenses to a safe country
- Temporary accommodation and basic needs
- Legal and immigration-related fees
- Starting a new life with dignity and freedom
If you can donate, no matter how small, or share my story, you’ll be helping me take the first step toward freedom.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
