8:45am, day three of the Asia Region Anti-Trafficking Conference...
Six hundred and fifty people close their eyes in a room that’s spent two days holding some of the hardest stories in the world.

In July, the Asia Region Anti-Trafficking conference invited me back to bring Sacred Slowdown wellbeing sessions into the conference itself. 250 in-person attendees and 400+ joining online, from every region this work touches, all pausing together to breathe, to move, to laugh, to notice what's happening inside and to give themselves real permission to look after themselves across the three days of heavy and at times heart-breaking content. Not a break from the conference. Part of it.
Underneath all of it, one invitation: remember we’re human beings first. Not anti-trafficking machines that happen to need maintenance when something breaks.
A room slowing down together, even for fifteen minutes, reconnects people to something steadier than the pace the work usually demands, and changes what’s possible for the rest of the conference, and for how long people can keep doing this work well.

The work matters.
So does the body that carries it.
This is the work your support fuels!
