Right now, I'm writing this from a McDonald's before heading to use public computers – because my keyboard barely works and I'm doing everything I can to rebuild my life.
The Reality of Homelessness & Depression
Depression hits different when you're homeless in an unfamiliar city. Every day feels like swimming upstream – shelter life strips away dignity while you battle both isolation and the constant pressure to "figure it out."
The things most people take for granted become monumental challenges:
A clean shirt for a job interview
A decent haircut to look presentable
Basic hygiene supplies
Reliable internet access to search for work
What I'm Fighting For
Today's mission: Research transferring to a Tampa shelter – a chance at a fresh start where opportunity might be waiting.
I'm not asking for pity. I'm asking for a bridge.
