An Honest Update: Navigating a Difficult Season & Asking for Help

Post Body: I’m writing this post because I’ve reached a point where I simply can’t carry everything on my own right now. Over the past few weeks, I’ve found myself overwhelmed and in complete shutdown mode, trying to figure out what to say, who to call, or what to do next. Reaching out here and being completely transparent feels like the only option I have left.

What Has HappenedRecently, I was hit with a severe health setback—a serious foot infection (MRSA) alongside complications from the medications I was prescribed. There were times when I physically could not walk or travel, making it impossible to go into work.

Unfortunately, time away from work meant lost income. Without a safety net, savings, or access to credit, missing shifts immediately created a severe financial gap. I kept hoping I could make up the difference on the next paycheck, but having to borrow against my own future pay to survive only kept me coming up short. I've spent my remaining energy applying for online gigs and quick-cash options, but everything has come up empty.

Where Things Stand Right NowBecause of this shortfall, I am currently facing an immediate risk of eviction due to an unpaid balance.

Sitting in this uncertainty is terrifying. Having experienced severe hardship and homelessness in the past, the anxiety of potentially falling back into that situation is overwhelming. It makes even basic daily tasks feel like moving through heavy molasses.

A Moment of SincerityThrough all of this, I’ve had time to reflect. Stripped of ego or pride, being in such a deep state of need forces a rare kind of complete sincerity—the realization that I lack the capacity to resolve this entirely on my own. Whether you call it faith, prayer, or simply seeking connection, I am putting this out there with complete sincerity to anyone who might be listening. Asking for help is not a weakness right now; it is a necessity.

Heartfelt Gratitude To everyone who has supported me recently—thank you from the bottom of my heart. If I haven’t sent you an individual thank-you message yet, please forgive me. Exhaustion and anxiety have made it difficult to function normally, and I am so afraid of sounding like I am begging for more rather than truly thanking you for what you've done. Please know that your help means the world to me.

How You Can Help If you are in a position to help, any support right now will go directly toward helping me cover my basic living expenses and urgent housing balance while I recover and regain my footing.

  • Support: Any contribution, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference and helps keep a roof over my head.

  • Share: Sharing this post with others who might be able to help is deeply appreciated.

  • Keep Me in Your Thoughts: Good wishes, prayers, and positive energy mean more than you know.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. Wishing you all a safe, restful weekend—take care of yourselves and each other.
