A Weekend of Recovery and Continued Uncertainty

It's been an incredibly difficult few days, and I wanted to share where things stand.

Since Friday evening, I've been completely bedridden with a severe cold. For most people, that's inconvenient—but because of my health history, even a common cold can become life-threatening. I'm grateful I had the weekend to rest without missing work. I spent nearly the entire time asleep, only getting up for medication, quick meals, and showers.

Tomorrow I return to work, but I'm still facing major uncertainty about my housing situation. There are ongoing delays between St. Vincent de Paul and property management that are completely out of my hands. I'm still in the hotel, but my stay is reaching its limit. It feels like I'm constantly balanced on the edge of homelessness while trying to step into the next chapter of my life. After four years of this cycle, being right at the brink is utterly exhausting.

Responsibility vs. Fault

I've been reflecting on something important: I'm responsible for my life because I'm the only one who can respond to my circumstances—but that doesn't mean I'm at fault for systemic delays or the impossible choices I'm forced to make.

Right now, I have to choose between keeping my job and managing housing logistics. My work schedule is incredibly strict—between 9 a.m. and 7:30 p.m., I have almost no freedom to make calls or handle paperwork without being penalized.

Tonight I'm sending emails to try getting everyone on the same page before my shift starts tomorrow. I'm praying the move finally happens this week so I can find some stability.

Thank you for being here and for your continued support as I navigate these hurdles. Your kindness means everything.
