My name is Joe DiMeo, the founder and creative mind of Abruzzo Unscripted. This passion project is dedicated to the people, places, culture, and heritage of Abruzzo in and around the world.
I had the fortune of growing up in Abruzzo as a young man, where I spent some of the most flavorful moments of my life. I was connected to family, to the earth, and to the culture in an indescribable way. This multimedia project honors all the things that are deeply part of who I am today. The Abruzzo of yesteryear no longer exists, but it's the stories and experiences that must be spoken about aloud and documented whenever possible. Whether it's written, spoken, sung, or photographed (still and moving pictures), honoring the past, present, and future of Abruzzo is critical to its existence.
